Glenfarclas

The Glenfarclas distillery started when the farmer Robert Hay built a distillery on the Rechlerich Farm in 1836.

In 1865 John Grant became tenant of the farm and bought the distillery.

Glenfarclas translates as meaning – the valley of the green grass.

The distillery is owned and run by the Grant family.
