Aberlour

Aberlour is a Speyside distillery built by James Fleming, son of a local tenant farmer in 1879 surrounded by dramatic Highland scenery, where the Lour burn joins the River Spey near Ben Rinnes. The exceptionally pure, soft spring water and the founder’s passion for making the best single malt combine to make the generously multi-layered whiskies of Aberlour. Fleming is buried in the cemetery opposite the distillery in the village of Aberlour.
