Bunnahabhain

Bunnahabhain is a village on the northeast coast of the isle of Islay, which is in the Argyll and Bute area of Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands. Pronounced, BoonaHAvin, from the Scottish Gaelic meaning “foot of the river”.

The Bunnahabhain Distillery produces one of the islands most distinctive whiskies. Located just below Port Askaig, the distillery was established in 1881 and overlooks the Sound of Islay and neighbouring island of Jura.
