Scott’s Selection Single Grain North of Scotland 1964 43 Years Old

£2,899.99

In stock

Distillery:
North of Scotland
Cask Type:
Seasoned Oak
Volume:
70cl.
ABV:
45%

Matt’s Notes:

Bottled at natural cask strength under the Scott’s Selection’s label, Robert Scott had been employed by George Christie and the Speyside Distillery as a Master Distiller for a number of years. After his retirement, Scott formed this independent bottling company. Happily, he was able to use his connections to acquire a few casks of unusual stuff, including at least three casks of North of Scotland grain whisky.

The investment of 43 years in a well-chosen barrel is rewarded by an exceptional dram, full of maple syrup, richly textured with vanilla and toffee, toasty oak and corn sweetness on the palate.
