After an initial maturation period the whisky was transferred into Sassicaia wine casks where it was allowed to mature for a further 29 months. Sassicaia is regarded as one of the most prestigious wines in the world. It is created in the exciting and fashionable Tuscan wine-producing region of Bolgheri.

Fresh peat smoke with malty aromas and some sweet toffee and marshmallow notes, hints of cocoa powder and summer fruits. The palate is initially peppery, followed by rich cream and red berries with a lingering smokiness.
