Aged 14 Years in American Oak then finished in Sherry Butts
Dalmore’s stunning 18 year old expression Highland malt is as rich, fruity and spicy. Matured initially for 14 years in American White Oak ex-Bourbon casks, then transferred to 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry Wood ones.
The classic caramel and Sherry notes there are interlaced with layers of Highland toffee, fig rolls, and chocolate orange, raisins and sultanas with a spicy vanillin note. Intensely rich with flavours of nutmeg, vanilla, coffee beans, succulent orange and cinnamon spice, a delicious armchair dram with lasting notes of old sherry on the long finish ending on almond, toffee apples and a touch of lavender.
